Walter Seward died at the age of 111 on September 13.
Here's a video of him singing "On The Banks of the Old Raritan" on ESPN during the historic Rutgers-Louisville game of November 9, 2006.

Only Hours Until Gametime
If you're in the mood to do more pregame reading, then here are your Game Preview & Game Notes from ScarletKnights.com and here's a blogger Q&A between bleedscarlet and Tar Heel Fan.
I've never been home from work on 9/11 before, so though I've gone to a few memorials on the day, I've never seen the hours-long reading of the names that is on every broadcast network in New York (2,4,5,7,9, & 11) as I write this. The reading of the names just ended and now they're playing taps.
All of us in this area have our own stories of where we and our friends and families were seven years ago, but here's a link to a story at Scarlet Knights Newzer about Mike Teel and his father on that day.
See you soon at the Stadium.
Go Knights!

The video from Labor Day's opener
It was great to be at the Stadium on Monday afternoon for the game against Fresno State even if the result wasn't what we all wanted and cheered for. The biggest losses from last year's team were the loss of Ray Rice's ability to get those last three yards on the ground, and the loss of Jeremy Ito's leg (but remember Ito's misses in his first game against Michigan State?).
Here's the video evidence that the loss had nothing to do with lack of spirit in the stands:
